Nordane Shipping’s brand new tug Stevns Battler came to the rescue of the Danish freighter SDK Italy, which suffered an engine breakdown in the Atlantic Ocean on a voyage from Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Rotterdam. The Stevns Battler was on her maiden voyage from Canada to Denmark but deviated from its course to assist the SDK Italy. The ship was re-delivered yesterday at Ponta Delgada on the Azores.
