Supply vessel to be converted for aquaculture
Bakkafrost has come to an agreement with Havila Shipping in Norway surrounding the purchase of the "Havila Princess". The ship will operate as a service vessel taking care of different assignments within sea farming. The vessel will be equipped with a system for delousing of salmon using warm seawater. With this investment, Bakkafrost’s capacity for delousing of salmon without the use of medical treatment will increase considerably. It is expected to be ready for operation shortly after the beginning of 2017, and is set to be named "Martin".
