Cargo shift and damage in English Channel

The 'Glovis Captain' lost some of its lashings during a storm in the English Channel enroute from Antwerp. resulting in a cargo shift and damage to its cargo of cars and industrial vehicles. A large number of badly damaged high and heavy vehicles were being unloaded from the vessel after its arrival at the railway terminal in the port of Southampton on Nov 3, 2019, at 9 a.n. A forklift has been deployed to remove some of the badly damaged vehicles. It was unclear at this stage how much cargo has been damaged on board the vessel.
