Jinhui Shipping has announced the sale of its 16-year-old supramax bulk carrier, Jin An, to Al Khalejia Aggregates FZE, a company based in the UAE, for $3.4 million. This transaction will result in a significant book loss of approximately HKD 33 million (around $4.25 million) for the shipping company. Jinhui Shipping has owned the vessel since 2000, and as of March 31, 2016, the net book value of Jin An was estimated at HKD 58.57 million.
