On September 4, 2025, the ''Erik Izmir'' found itself in hot water at the port of Yalova, facing detention due to a total of 12 deficiencies, one of which was classified as serious and a direct cause for the ship's hold. This critical deficiency was related to the vessel's Pollution Prevention measures, specifically the malfunctioning of its Ballast Water Management System. Thankfully, the situation was promptly addressed, and the vessel was released on September 5. Following its release, the ''Erik Izmir'' set sail from the port, continuing its journey to Marseille.

On February 8, 2020, at approximately 5:345 PM, the cargo vessel ‘Main Highway’ suffered an allision with the wall of the Northern Lock in Brunsbüttel. The incident occurred as the ship was making a westbound passage through the Kiel Canal, en route from Södertälje to Cuxhaven, with an estimated time of arrival in Cuxhaven expected at 7 PM the same day. The collision resulted in a significant breach above the waterline of the vessel's hull. Following the accident, local police detained the ship for an investigation conducted within the lock. After the examination, the ‘Main Highway’ was released at 7:15 PM and successfully made its way to Cuxhaven, where it docked an hour later.
