On June 19, 2018, at 1:45 a.m., the cargo ship 'Vita Future' encountered engine difficulties while navigating through the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 44 miles southeast of the Isles of Scilly, at coordinates 49°16'00" N and 005°47'00" W. The vessel was en route from Gothenburg, Sweden, to New Orleans, USA, and was carrying 1,550 tonnes of heavy fuel oil in its bunker tanks, with a crew of 18 onboard. Fortunately, the engine issue was promptly resolved, enabling the 'Vita Future' to resume its journey just 15 minutes later. The ship is now expected to reach its destination by July 3.
