Rudder failure off Istanbul
The "King Edward" suffered rudder failure on Feb 22, 2015, at 7.30 p.m. at Sarıyer Bebek enroute from Istanbul to Kavkaz. The ship started to drift slowly towards the coast, and the Coastal Safety General Directorate dispatched tugs to investigate the situation which was resolved within one hour.
