Cargo ship stuck on Seine
On Mar 12, 2014, the "Safmarine Linyati", enroute from Antwerp to Rouen, ran aground on the river Seine between Le Havre and near Caudebec-en-Caux. The ship got stuck at Le Trait in the morning at the the beginning of the river channel. The first attempt to refloat the ship with the tugs "RMT Penfret" and "TMS Brehat" from Rouen was unsuccessful due to low tide. With the rising tide, towing companies resume the operation at 7.30 p.m. At 8.30 p.m., the ship was refloated.
