Grounding off Haiti

The "UBC Sagunto" ran aground on Apr 2, 2018, while approaching Port-au-Prince. The ship was en route to Fond Mombin, north of Port-au-Prince and had sailed from Kingston, Jamaica, on Apr 1 at 6 p.m. Ardent was contracted for salvage. The ship was refloated on Apr 12 and resumed the voyage to the port of destination, Fond Mombin, Haiti. On Apr 17 the ship was stationary 9,9 miles off Port au Prince, lightering cargo to the cargo m/v "Sophia".
