Hapag Lloyd ship transited Strait of Hormuz
**Title: Hapag-Lloyd’s Tema Express Successfully Navigates Strait of Hormuz** In a significant development for maritime logistics, Hapag-Lloyd has announced that its vessel, the "Tema Express," has successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz and departed the Persian Gulf in recent days. The Hamburg-based shipping giant confirmed this milestone but opted to keep operational details under wraps for safety considerations. The "Tema Express" had been stranded in the Gulf since February 28, 2026, coinciding with rising military tensions in the region. With an estimated time of arrival (ETA) in Sohar set for April 26, the ship is now expected to reintegrate into Hapag-Lloyd’s regular shipping schedule. This successful transit marks the first time a Hapag-Lloyd cargo ship has made it through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing blockade, highlighting both the resilience of the shipping industry and the importance of maritime routes in global trade.
