Three crew members died in cargo hold
Three crew members of the "Apollo Kita" were taken to a hospital on Ishigaki island in the Okinawa Prefecture on Nov 9, 2018, after they lost consciousness while working inside a cargo hold. The ship interrupted the voyage from Kalimantan to Hannan with a cargo of logs, and moored at Ishigaki anchorage at 3.30 p.m. All three victims who were of Filipino nationality died. The cause of their death was believed to be a lack of oxygen in the cargo hold.
