According to a recent press release, this state-of-the-art ship will enhance FESCO's service offerings along short sea routes, specifically alongside its sister vessels, the M/V FESCO Pevek and M/V FESCO Posiet. The M/V Malachite will primarily service the crucial Magadan-Korsakov-Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky corridor, focusing on the transportation of general cargo, bulk materials, and containerized shipments. Notably, this vessel boasts an ice class rating, making it capable of operating effectively in freezing port conditions. Additionally, equipped with advanced electro-hydraulic cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tonnes each, the M/V Malachite is designed for efficient cargo offloading directly onto the beach.
