Disabled Bulk Carrier 'Ormi' Rescued Near Rhodes
On January 24, 2020, at 3:35 PM, the bulk carrier 'Ormi' experienced a turbocharger malfunction while navigating south of Rhodes Island, specifically at coordinates 35°43'00" N and 27°53'48" E. The vessel, transporting a load of soybeans from Kherson to Haifa, lost power and went adrift as the crew was unable to carry out the necessary repairs.
