Stril-Barents Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

Simon Møkster Shipping together with Eni Norge have reached an agreement to add a battery energy storage system onboard LNG-powered PSV Stril Barents. The companies says the agreement will ensure a significant reductions in fuel consumption and emissions while the vessel is supporting the Goliat field. “This is an initiative that strengthens Goliat’s already strong environmental profile with power from shore and injection of produced water. It is important for us to contribute to the reduction of total emissions, even if emissions from supply vessels are not part of our emissions statistics,” says Asbjørn Skoge, district manager at Eni Norge.
