In a recent incident in Teluk Bayur, Indonesia, the shipping company 'CTG Cobalt' faced a disagreement with Port State Control regarding an alleged defect in the sewage treatment plant on their tanker. This dispute resulted in a temporary detention of the vessel. Fortunately, the tanker was released on June 25, 2020, after confirming that no deficiencies remained. Importantly, this incident did not disrupt the ship's operations or schedule, and at no point did the alleged issue pose a threat to the crew, the vessel, or the surrounding environment. In response to the detention, CTG Cobalt has initiated an appeal process, which is being supported by the Flag Administration.

In a concerning incident at Kandla Anchorage, three armed robbers attempted to board the vessel 'CTG Cobalt' on October 26, 2018, at precisely 3:15 PM. The coordinates of the attempted boarding were recorded at 22° 48' 58" N, 70° 00' 26" E. The crew was alerted by one vigilant member who spotted the robbers using ropes and hooks in their futile attempt to access the ship. Thanks to the quick response, the crew was able to raise an alarm that forced the assailants to abandon their plans and flee the scene. Following the incident, local authorities at Kandla port were promptly notified to enhance security measures in the area and ensure the safety of maritime operations.
