Rio Tinto has announced a new time charter agreement within the China-Japan-Korea corridor, effectively enhancing its operational capacity in the region. The vessel, expected to be delivered shortly, will embark on a trip to Australia before being redelivered to the Singapore-Japan range. This contract will see the ship operating at a daily rate of $14,500, marking a strategic move in Rio Tinto's logistics and shipping endeavors.

Oldendorff has successfully finalized a new charter arrangement, with the vessel delivered in Tianjin on June 15. The ship will embark on a journey along Australia's East Coast before heading towards the India-Japan region. This lucrative deal is set at a daily rate of $8,000, bolstering Oldendorff's fleet operations in a competitive maritime market.

Star Bulk Carriers Corp. has successfully received its latest asset, the M/V Star Sirius, a Post-Panamax bulk carrier boasting a deadweight tonnage of around 98,000 tons. This marks the second delivery of advanced Post-Panamax vessels as part of the company's expansion strategy, following the binding agreements disclosed on January 29, 2014. The addition of Star Sirius enhances Star Bulk's fleet capabilities and positions the company favorably in the competitive maritime market.
