The delivery took place today, and immediately following its acquisition, the vessel entered into an impressive 11-year bareboat charter agreement with Scorpio Bulkers Inc. In a strategic move to enhance environmental compliance, Ocean Yield has also agreed to partially finance the installation of scrubbers aboard the vessel, with the retrofitting expected to commence in early 2020. In a significant move within the maritime industry, a new time charter has been secured for a vessel's delivery at Canakkale between April 2 and April 6. The journey will traverse the Black Sea, ultimately leading to redelivery in China. This charter agreement has been set at a competitive daily rate of $19,000, as facilitated by the brokerage firm, Langlois. This development is expected to enhance shipping operations within the region and support trade routes between Turkey and China.
