In an exciting development for the maritime industry, Croatian shipping company Jadroplov proudly took delivery of its latest bulk carrier, named 'Solin,' on July 12, 2012. The launch event occurred at the esteemed Brodosplit shipyard located in Split. This newly constructed vessel is a sophisticated 470 bulk carrier specifically designed for the efficient transportation of bulk cargo. Notably, 'Solin' shares identical dimensions with the acclaimed 2010 vessel, 'Sveti Dujmo,' which received notable recognition from the prestigious Australian publication, Baird Maritime: Ships & Shipping. In 2011, 'Sveti Dujmo' earned the coveted title of 'Bulk Carrier of the Year' and was featured among the top 20 ships, underscoring the high standards and innovative design that Jadroplov continues to uphold in their fleet.
