In the early hours of June 12, 2023, at 1 a.m., a fire broke out in the engine room and accommodation area of the 'Siya' while docked at Yalova shipyard. The emergency response included the vessel's crew, who promptly coordinated with shipyard firefighters and local firefighting teams. Assistance also came from the search and rescue tug 'Nene Hatun' (IMO: 9675004), along with other tugs including an ŞARK tug. The fire was successfully brought under control by morning; however, the extent of the damage and the underlying cause remain undetermined at this time.
