On May 29, 2019, at 08:50 a.m., the cargo ship 'Silver Moon', sailing from Antwerp to Dakar and carrying a crew of 24 along with 70 automobiles, experienced a cooling pipe malfunction while navigating at coordinates 51° 17' 14" N, 001° 50' 23" E. The vessel promptly halted to conduct necessary repairs. Following the successful resolution of the issue, the Dover Coastguard was informed of the situation. This incident highlights the importance of vessel maintenance and prompt reporting in maritime operations.

On March 19, 2018, the cruise ship "Silver Moon" encountered a minor fire incident while undergoing repairs at the shipyard in Perama, Greece. The fire ignited in a section of wooden scaffolding located at the port side aft of the vessel. The Perama Port Authority promptly dispatched firefighting personnel to the scene. Fortunately, the crew aboard the Silver Moon, in coordination with the firefighters, managed to extinguish the flames. Following the incident, the port authority initiated a preliminary investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the fire. The Silver Moon had been docked in Piraeus since February 26 for maintenance work before departing from Perama on April 13 at 11:40 a.m. and arriving in Genova on April 17.
