On January 3, 2011, the vessel 'Bay Ranger' successfully made radio contact with two sailors from the yacht 'Carefree IV', who had been reported missing. The communication occurred at 4:26 PM, approximately 150 nautical miles southeast of Bermuda. The crew on 'Carefree IV', a 31-foot sloop, assured the master of 'Bay Ranger' that they were safe and in good health, albeit fatigued and in need of supplies. In a commendable act of seamanship, 'Bay Ranger' provided essential provisions, including water, enabling the stranded sailors to resume their journey back to Bermuda. Following the supply transfer, 'Bay Ranger' continued its own course from Houston, Texas, en route to Cadiz, Spain.
