Freighter 'Seabee' Experiences Engine Failure in Kiel Canal
On June 4, 2017, the freighter 'Seabee', while journeying from Aviles to Szczecin, suffered an engine blackout in the Kiel Canal, specifically at Schülp, during the late afternoon hours. In response to the situation, the tug 'Stein' was dispatched from Kiel to provide assistance. The tug successfully navigated through the canal locks and reached the 'Seabee' at around 6 p.m. Subsequently, the 'Seabee' was towed to the communal port in Rendsburg, where it was safely moored by 10:10 p.m.
