Third detention in less than two years
**Title: "Sea Opera" Faces Third Detention in Under Two Years** The maritime vessel "Sea Opera" has once again found itself under scrutiny, as it was detained on March 20, 2023, in Zhuhai due to eight identified deficiencies. Among these deficiencies, four were deemed critical enough to warrant the detention of the ship. The serious issues highlighted include: 1. Water/Weather-tight integrity - Alarms for Unmanned Machinery Spaces (UMS) were not functioning as required. 2. Water/Weather-tight integrity - Ventilators, air pipes, and casings failed to meet required standards. 3. Radio communications - The Recognized Mobile Satellite Service and ship earth station were not compliant. 4. Cargo operations - Regulations for cargo transfer on tankers were not adhered to. Following the detention, "Sea Opera" was released on March 24, 2023, and immediately set sail for Singapore. This incident marks the third time the "Sea Opera" has been detained within a span of less than two years.
