Detention in Yantai
The 'Sea Hermes' was detained in the port of Yantai on Sep 25, 2025 by the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) authorities. The detention followed an initial inspection which revealed a total of eight deficiencies, four of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The ship, which had arrived in port en route from Zhapu on Sep 22, left Yantai again on Sep 26, destined to Singapore with an ETA as of Oct 6.
