On December 8, the cargo vessel 'SC Montreal' was detained at the port of Callao, just a day after its arrival from Guayaquil. The detention occurred following an initial inspection conducted by Tokyo MoU inspectors, who identified a significant deficiency, classified as a serious violation warranting the ship's detention. After this incident, the vessel moved from the port and anchored in position 12° 00' N 077° 13' W. As of December 10, the 'SC Montreal' remained stationary, with plans to head to San Antonio, expected to arrive by December 11.

On October 28, 2024, Houthi militants executed drone attacks targeting multiple vessels in the Arabian Sea. One of the ships, the 'SC Montreal', was on its way from Salalah to Pointe des Galets in Reunion when it was struck by two drones. The incident remains unconfirmed with no further details provided. In addition, the 'Motaro' (IMO 9310290), traveling from Ust Luga to China, was subject to a series of explosions while navigating the Red Sea, approximately 25 nautical miles south of Yemen’s Mocha and approaching the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The first explosion occurred at 2:35 p.m. GMT, followed by subsequent blasts at 3:03 p.m. and 4:37 p.m. GMT. Fortunately, both the vessel and its crew emerged unharmed, allowing the Motaro to continue its journey from St. Petersburg to its next destination in Changjiangkou. Notably, the ship has not visited Israeli ports in over three years and has no known ties to Israel. Furthermore, the 'Maersk Kowloon', also claimed to be targeted by Houthi forces, was reportedly struck by a cruise missile while en route from Salalah to New York. These attacks highlight the increasing tensions in the region and the risks faced by maritime operations in the waters surrounding Yemen.

The cargo vessel HSL Paraty has successfully exited the Carneval Group Shipyards in Campamento following extensive repairs for damages sustained from its collision with the Panama-flagged vehicle carrier MSC Immacolata (IMO: 9463205) on March 3 in Conakry. The repairs focused on a broken suspension stirrup bridge, a damaged cargo crane, and a lifeboat that suffered significant destruction in the accident. After work was completed, the HSL Paraty departed the yard on April 26 at 8:30 PM, setting sail towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife with an estimated time of arrival on May 2. By April 27, the vessel had positioned itself off the coast of Guadarranque at coordinates N 36° 10.31' W 005° 24.47', where it was accompanied by the utility boat Bay Protector (IMO: 6801054).

On March 15, 2018, the cargo vessel "HSL Paraty" made its way to Carneval Group Shipyards in Campamento for crucial repairs following an incident on March 3. The ship suffered significant damage, including a broken suspension stirrup bridge, a malfunctioning cargo crane, and issues with its lifeboat, all resulting from a collision with the "MSC Immacolata" in Conakry. After departing Conakry on March 7, the vessel remained at the yard's quay as repair efforts continued. By April 4, "HSL Paraty" was still docked, and on April 16, it was successfully towed into the floating dock by the tugs "VB Algeciras", "VB Braco", and "VB Siroco" for further repair work.
