Medevac near Galveston
The US Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from the "Flagship Lotus" near Galveston, Texas, in the afternoon of March 29, 2019. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a report from a representative of the tanker that a crewmember was injured while working and required medical assistance. Watchstanders consulted the duty flight surgeon who recommended a medevac. A Coast Guard Station Galveston 45-foot response boat arrived on scene and transferred the crewmember to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at Coast Guard Station Galveston.
