On December 4, 2019, at 8:30 PM, the 'Zim San Diego' encountered an auxiliary engine malfunction while navigating off the west coast of Vancouver Island, specifically at coordinates 48° 42' 37.2'' N and 126° 31' 47.8'' W. Following the incident, the vessel received a flag state dispensation letter to address the situation. After resolving the issue, the ship made its way to Roberts Bank, successfully arriving on December 9 at 1:30 PM. The 'Zim San Diego' continued its journey two days later, departing on December 11, with Seattle as its next destination. It reached SSA Terminal 18 Container Terminal at 11:20 PM on the same day, marking the completion of its delivery schedule.
