On January 18, 2022, a tragic incident occurred aboard the container vessel 'Sakizaya Integrity' as it made its journey from Belfast to Murmansk. Emergency services received an alert regarding the sudden death of a 32-year-old crew member, a Chinese national. Upon notification, the Stornoway Lifeboat was dispatched to the ship, which was sailing through British waters.
