Meanwhile, the remaining 14 Turkish vessels continue to remain in limbo as Turkey engages in diplomatic discussions with Tehran against the backdrop of ongoing regional conflicts and the heightened restrictions impacting this crucial maritime chokepoint. Collectively, the Turkish vessels in the vicinity are carrying a total of 171 crew members, all of whom are affected by the increased scrutiny and selective permissions being issued by Iran.
