On December 29, 2015, a crew member from the vessel "Tamarin" was successfully medevaced by a U.S. Coast Guard team off the coast of Cape May. The emergency response was initiated after watchstanders at the 5th Coast Guard District received a distress call at 1:42 p.m. on December 28, indicating that a 46-year-old crew member was experiencing symptoms of a possible stroke. Due to adverse weather conditions, the rescue operation was delayed until the following morning. At 10 a.m. on December 29, a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium launched from Coast Guard Station Cape May, reaching the distressed vessel at approximately 10:46 a.m. The patient was swiftly transported back to Cape May, where Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel were on standby. Upon arrival at the facility, the individual was in stable condition and subsequently taken to Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House for further medical evaluation. "Despite the challenging weather conditions, our crew's professionalism ensured the safe transport of the man in need," said Petty Officer 2nd Class Venus Hulst, the boat coxswain during the operation. "With air support grounded due to the weather, I am truly grateful for Station Cape May's timely response, which allowed for advanced medical care. It was a successful operation, thanks to our team's dedication and extensive training." For more details, visit: [USCG News Report](http://www.uscgnews.com/go/doc/4007/2771270/)
