On August 6, 2024, a significant maritime incident unfolded in the waters off Nongsa, Batam, Riau Islands, when the bulk carrier 'Fu Tong' (IMO: 9219458) collided with the vessel 'PVT Avira'. Promptly responding to the situation, the Indonesian Navy deployed the KRI 'Siliman-848' to the scene to assist.
