Working Conditions Aboard the Pros-Hope

In a significant milestone for Ukraine's maritime recovery, the container vessel 'PRos Hope' docked at the port of Chornomorsk on April 21, 2024, marking the first time a container ship has visited since the onset of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022. The 'PRos Hope' set sail again on April 25, heading towards Constanta, Romania. This arrival followed the recent docking of a feeder vessel earlier in April, symbolizing a marked advancement in the efforts to stabilize Black Sea shipping routes. At the start of this month, a Turkish freight forwarder launched a container service linking Chornomorsk with Romania via feeder operations, utilizing the feeder vessel 'T Mare' (IMO: 9007001), which made a stop in Ukraine during its passage. The operation gained further momentum with the addition of another feeder ship, the 'T Moon,' bolstering trade connections between Romania and Turkey. These developments underscore the ongoing commitment to revitalizing maritime activities in the Black Sea region.
