On April 28, 2026, the Prive Angel, a tanker traveling from Fujairah, was involved in a significant allision with Dolphin Oil Jetty-6, which is managed by Padma Oil Company, at the port of Chattogram. This incident occurred during the vessel's berthing maneuvers, resulting in considerable damage to the jetty structure. A committee formed to assess the damage reported that the estimated cost for the necessary repairs would be Tk3.40 crore. When factoring in VAT and other associated taxes, the overall compensation claim escalated to approximately Tk4.25 crore. As of May 13, the tanker remained anchored in the coordinates 22° 11' N, 091° 47' E, off the coast of Chattogram.
