Blackout in Kiel Canal
Coming from Riga, the "Pregol Hav" suffered a total engine blackout during the westbound transit of the Kiel Canal on Feb 19, 2019, at 2.40 p.m. at the height of the ferry pt. Hochdonn. As a precaution, the canal was barred for shipping until the crew repaired the faulty fuel line. The ship then resumed its voyage and passed the Brunsbüttel locks towards the Elbe at 4.30 p.m.
