This charter presents a significant opportunity for Phaethon as they expand their operations in the maritime industry.

On November 17, 2017, Diana Shipping Inc. announced a significant development in its operations by entering into a time charter deal for its bulk carrier, the MV Naias. This agreement, forged through a wholly-owned subsidiary, is with Phaethon International Company AG. The charter is set at a gross daily rate of $10,000, with a 5% commission payable to third parties, for a term ranging from approximately 15 to a maximum of 18 months. The commencement of this charter is anticipated to begin on November 24, 2017. Previously, the MV Naias was chartered to Glencore Agriculture B.V. in Rotterdam at a gross rate of $7,500 per day, also minus a 5% third-party commission. This new employment contract is projected to yield around $4.35 million in gross revenue during the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
