On February 8, 2010, the vessel ‘Irtysh 1’ met with misfortune as it ran aground in Bourgas Bay, near Kraimorie. In light of the owner's failed attempts at salvage, Multraship Salvage and SVITZER were called to action to ensure the safe refloating of the ship. Four tugs from Multraship, stationed in Bourgas, together with an expert salvage team from SVITZER, worked diligently to lift the ‘Irtysh 1’ from its stuck position. After ten intensive days of salvage operations, success was achieved, and the vessel was safely berthed in Bourgas for thorough inspections.
