Damen Shiprepair Brest (DSBr) has announced the successful completion of a comprehensive two-week maintenance program for the GDF Suez Point Fortin, a 290-meter-long liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier with a gross tonnage of 101,000. The maintenance work took place in the latter part of May 2023 and involved several critical tasks. The team conducted a thorough in-water survey carried out by skilled divers, updated the vessel's mooring system by converting from wire to rope cables, and performed extensive Class surveys on the main boilers to ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, a radar dome was replaced during the process, enhancing the vessel's operational capabilities.
