Medevac off Key West
The US Coast Guard Cutter 'Charles David Jr.' medevaced a 31-year-old Filipino man from the'Philotimos' approximately 155 miles southwest of Key West, on April 16, 2020. Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders received a medevac request from the tanker stating the man was suffering from a possible appendicitis. The patient was safely taken off and later transferred onto a 45 ft boat of the Coast Guard Station Key West and taken ashore to local emergency medical services in stable condition.
