Disabled Cargo Ship 'Petr Hamitov' Successfully Towed to Tuzla
The cargo vessel 'Petr Hamitov,' which suffered an engine malfunction in November 2017 while docked in Samsun, has successfully been towed to Tuzla. The operation was carried out by the tug 'Turkuaz 2' on July 10, 2018. After navigating through the Istanbul Strait, with the assistance of Coastal Safety tugs ensuring safe passage, the 'Petr Hamitov' completed the strait transit by July 16 at 11 a.m. The vessel safely reached Tuzla Shipyard by 1 p.m. and was back in operation, sailing again on September 26.
