Ship quarantined after coronavirus case
One Russian crew member of the 'Orange Dream' was tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and was taken to hospital at Incheon on July 29, 2020. The rest of 20 crew members have been tested negative and were healthy. The ship was put under quarantine for 14 days. It had arrived at Incheon with a cargo of scrap metal en route from Vladivostok on July 26.
Arrested in Trincomalee
South Korean freighter Evangeli was arrested on July 31 13 in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, following a claim made by South Korean bunkering company, reported Sri Lankan newspaper Times Online. Vessel loaded with 10,000 tons of granite arrived to Trincomalee on July 18 for bunkering. Koeran bunkering company meanwhile, hired a law firm in Colombo, which managed to get an arrest warrant. The 18 crew wasn’t paid for the last three months, added newspaper.
