Engine failure in Åsværfjorden
The "Marmolokai" suffered engine failure on Mar 16, 2016, around 3 p.m. in the Åsværfjord short time after leaving Mosjoen being destined for Kristiansund. The vessel went adrift off Åsvær lighthouse in a fresh SW wind and requested assistance via VHF, and a lifeboat was dipsatches. Also the Seløy Undervannsservice was ready to assist, but the crew managed to fix the roblem in the meantime and had the engine running again after 15 minutes. The vessel, however, turned back and sailed to a sheltered anchorage near Nesna. It left early in the morning of Mar 17 and headed to a destination outside Kristiansund.
