On July 31, 2010, the "Sailbeauty" struck the upper gates of Balakovskiy Lock on the Volga river at km mark 2006. It suffered a hole in the engine room area and water ingress. At 07.30 a.m. the hole was patched, and the water was pumped out, causing the water level in the engine room fall. Five salvage and inspection boats were sent to distressed vessel. No spill or pollution reported.
