Oil residues not documented
On Nov 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. the police in Mukran carried out a MARPOL control aboard the 'Ocean Innovation' which had arrived in port, coming from Gdynia, on Nov 26 at 8 a.m. The officers found out that the whereabouts of 1,35 m³ oil residues were not documented in the oil log or otherwise. In addition, several entries in said oil journal did not conform to the form prescribed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the existing tanks were not properly named. The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) has been informed. A total security fine of 1017, - EUR was collected along with custodial fees. Furthermore, two misdemeanors were made. On Nov 28 the bulk carrier remained stationary at berth 5.
