On April 23, 2022, a vessel made its way to Gadani Anchorage, marking a significant stopover in its maritime journey. This arrival highlights the busy activity of one of Pakistan's key shipping points, known for its shipbreaking industry and strategic coastal location.

On the evening of December 8, 2021, the Kalamata Port Authority received an urgent call for assistance regarding a 62-year-old crew member aboard the 'Nordic Passat'. The tanker, which was situated 90 nautical miles southwest of Kalamata and traveling from Aliaga to Augusta, required swift medical attention for the ailing crew member. Upon reaching the anchorage near the port, a successful transfer operation took place, with the patient being moved to a Greek patrol boat. Subsequently, he was safely transported to Kalamata, where an ambulance was ready to take him to the General Hospital of Messinia for necessary medical treatment.
