The 'Nordic Italia', en route from Rotterdam to Southampton, UK, with 17 crew members and 2563 tonnes of containers suffered engine trouble while transiting the southwest lane of the Dover Strait Traffic Separation Scheme and anchored in position 51 37 35.0N, 002 05 20.0E on Aug 5, 2021, at 8.50 p.m. The incident was reported to the Dover Coastguard at 6.35 p.m. A part in the lube oil cooler needed to be changed. The ship resumed its voyage at 1.20 a.m. and arrived in Southampton at 5.05 p.m.
