Cargo ship lost rudder, under tow
On Apr 28, 2018, at 1.50 p.m. the "Mia Sophie B", being en route from Galway with a cargo of 2217 metric tonnes of lime stone, lost rudder in Irish waters in position 53 59 00 N, 10 23 54 W. The vessel was taken under tow by the tug "Strahfoyle" and entered Zone 34 on passage to Clyde Port for repairs. A communication schedule was arranged with the tug every four hours, and the Belfast Coastguard was monitoring the tow on AIS. On May 2 at 4.40 p.m. the "Mia Sophie B" docked at Glsgow Clydebank.
