Ferry docked after one week of blockade
After a week of blockade, the "Stena Carrier" finally docked at the Terminal Roulier in the southern port of Marseille on Jan 11. 20 tons of clementines and dozens of Trailers were quickly unloaded. Because of bad weather, it will leave tomorrow bound for Bastia with a new cargo. Between Marseille and Bastia, rotations will continue every two days. Corsica Lineawill also rotate on the route Ajaccio - Marseille every two days, linking Marseille and Corsica daily with the new shipping company. A round table was to be held on Jan 13 in Corsica between the elected representatives of the Corsican Regional Authority and the actors of the conflict, to define the new rules of continuity. The Unions are insisting on guarantees on working conditions on board the ships of Corsica Linea.
