Mega-Express-Four Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

70,000 Euros in cash were stolen from the 'Mega Express Four' off the Port d'Alcúdia on the evening of Aug 25, 2024,. The crew noticed shortly before entering the port at aroudn 8 p.m. that a safe was open and notified the police and the Guardia Civil, which aunched an investigation to catch the alleged thief on the ferry, which had come from the port of Toulon. When the ship docked in the port, the Guardia Civil and the port police searched the passengers and checked all vehicles leaving the ferry. Despite this, the investigators have not yet been able to locate the suspected thief. One police hypothesis is that the suspect could be an employee of the company who robbed the safe. .

The "Mega Express Four" left the repair yard in Vado Liqure at Sporgente E. Bricchetto on Sep 22 at 9 p.m. and berthed at Nice on Sep 23 at 2.30 p.m. At 3.30 p.m. it resumed its service with a first departure to Toulon, docking there on Sep 24 at 7.15 a.m.

In the afternoon of Sep 15, 2015, around 2 p.m. the "Mega Express Four" allided with the quay in Nice when backing into the port. The starboard side aft of the ship which got to the berth only in the second attempt, suffered significant damage so that the return trip to Bastia had to be cancelled. No one was injured in the impact. The ship left the port again and berthed in Vado Liqure at Sporgente E. Bricchetto on Sep 16 at 8.15 a.m. for repairs.
