Ferry suffered bow thruster failure
The 'Medmar Giulia' was delayed in the morning of Sep 30, 2019, after it suffered a bow thruster failure when starting its service. The Coast Guard of Casamicciola had to verify the condition of the ship and carry out a survey to test the safety before leaving for the mainland. After the intervention of Circomare the ship was allowed to sail. The survey caused a delay of about 40 minutes, and the ferry sailed at 10.50 a.m. instead of 10.10 a.m. as scheduled on its service to Pozzuoli where it arrived at 11.50 a.m. and further on to Naples where it berthed at 1 p.m.
