Crew member fell over board off Rotterdam
On Oct 4, 2023,at 2.15 a.m. the KNRM of Hoek van Holland received a call from the Dutch Coastguard after a crew member had fallen overboard on the 'SC Mara' after the pilot had disembarked en route from Rotterdam to Hamburg. The pilot tender immediately sailed back and the man was taken on board. He was wearing a life jacket. The victim suffered from hypothermia and was taken to shore for medical treatment. An ambulance drove to the Berghaven to transport the victim to the hospital for a check-up. The man was reported to be stable.
